We wanted to let you know that Mollie did really well in her French GCSE and came out with the top mark - 9!! A**
She was really happy with the result so a big thank you again to you for helping her achieve this amazing result. She worked very hard on her revision and tutoring and it all paid off for her.

Gerard, I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for Ella.
Ella actually got an A for her French A Level having got a U in her mocks and this is 100% due to your amazing teaching!

My daughter Beatrice, who attends Ralph Allen, was tutored by the wonderful Gerard for 2 years.
Originally. Gerard came to our home each week but like most of us, we used Zoom to continue her weekly lessons once the Covid regulations were in place. We found him a very organised, extremely patient and engaging tutor and without whom Bea would never have navigated the work she needed to catch up with her peers, some two years ahead of her. Gerard was a great constant through those extremely taxing years who found a great balance between pushing Bea to achieve more and making lessons something she looked forward to. Bea achieved a GCSE grade 7, which all things considered is incredible and a testimony to her and her schoolteachers too of course, but also the excellence from Gerard.
I wholly recommend him to you.

“My daughter needed some support going into her final term of A Level French, AQA Board at the Royal High School, Bath. She has struggled in confidence in
the subject and Gerard was very supportive and patient and brought attention and thought to each lesson in terms of what she specifically needed, with exercises tailored to her. There is no
doubt that she was in a better place heading into the exams than she would have been without him. I recommend Gerard highly”

"Gerard is an excellent tutor and I would thoroughly recommend him. He taught my home-schooled son (13yrs), covering the yr8 French syllabus. Gerard is so friendly and polite and his lessons were fun and well prepared. My son enjoyed the year learning French and feels cofident to continue with the GCSE course because Gerard prepared him so well, THANK YOU GERARD."
Mrs Rachel McKeever - Bath
"Gérard was an excellent French teacher for our two sons, Louis, Y6 and Max, Y4. He tailored each lesson to engage them whilst also stretching their learning. The lessons were fun, easy to follow and full of content delivered in a variety of ways. I would highly recommend Gérard to anyone wanting to learn french."

"Bonjour Gerard, I just wanted to let you know that Tola and Tomi started Swiss school today and it was brilliant! Thank you so much for helping them to gain confidence in a new language :)
Emma Holcombe - Switzerland
"My son had weekly lessons with Gérard to help prepare him for his A2 French exam - in which he did very well. We were very impressed with Gérard and would certainly recommend him as a tutor for A level French. He was always very well prepared with relevant material. Gérard's calm and friendly manner helped enormously with the speaking and my son enjoyed his discussions with him. Thank you Gérard!"

"Gerard Navarro helped my oldest daughter, Thea, with her French GCSE and she excelled with his competent guidance and encouragement. Therefore I was delighted when he also agreed to help my son, Julius, with his GCSE studies. Thea had recognised that she needed help to master French and willingly accepted Gerard's tutoring. However, Julius was a reluctant learner and found French a challenge in the school classroom. He was not immediately open to additional support as he simply considered the language to be impossible to learn. It took Gerard both patience and determination to build Julius' confidence and self belief that he could establish a good understanding of the language. Their progress together was consistent. Julius sometimes struggled through and I can only commend Gerard's diligence and unfailing calm repetition. Julius was predicted a C for his GCSE. He was aiming for a B but we appreciated this would be a significant challenge. Gerard never failed to encourage and worked tirelessly to produce worksheets, practice texts and exercises to help exam technique. This summer, 2016, the hard work of both tutor and pupil was rewarded with an GCSE Grade A in French. It was a wonderful result and could never have been achieved without the tutelage of Gerard Navarro. Gerard is a kind, hardworking and wonderful tutor and is already booked to help my third child as she approaches her GCSE years."
Janet Stanton-Skovhus - Bath
"I found Gérard’s advert in the BathParent magazine and I was so happy. Gérard is an excellent teacher who brings an element of fun to the well structured lessons. He helped my son Leo to achieve A* in his recent French IGCSE. I would recommend Gérard to anyone with children learning french as he is patient, kind and very reliable."
Annie Mulholland - Bradford-on-Avon
"Gerard has been teaching my son (12yrs old) and daughter (9yrs old) for a few months. We very much enjoyed Gerard coming around every week with his sunny disposition and very friendly manner. He is a very patient teacher who has lots of different ideas on how to help each child individually to meet their needs. My son's confidence grew by speaking french one to one with Gerard, in a class of 30 this isn't always possible so this was a great confidence booster for him. I would definitely recommend Gerard because he is very approachable and has varied and interesting ways to teach French."
Vanessa Anstey - Corston
"Gerard Navarro gave French lessons to my daughter, aged 7 and my son aged 9. They both really enjoyed the lessons which were varied, fun and interesting. The mix of games, role play and songs kept them engaged and helped them improve their speaking skills. I was really pleased with how enthusiastic my children were about the lessons, with the progress that they made and with how much their confidence improved."
Louise Neill - Bath
"My son Charlie started having some individual lessons with Gerard when he was 15 and we became aware that he had failed several modules of his French GCSE. With the final exams looming and an attitude of "well I've failed that one" he started to have weekly one to one lessons. Gerard's gentle approach and ability to be very patient and flexible certainly paid off and last month we found out that Charlie got a B grade in his GCSE. I am absolutely certain that this is totally down to Gerard's teaching and the extra confidence it gave Charlie going into the exams. Thanks again Gerard."
Janet Armstrong - Bath
"My daughter has been taught French by Gerard weekly since turning 3 years old. The different weekly activities Gerard organises keeps her from getting bored and makes lessons a fun playful experience."
Mrs Maryam Hallas - Wingfield, Wiltshire
"Gerard was recommended to me by a friend. He worked with my 14 years old daughter Billie who had a late start to GCSE French. Following a number of sessions Billie made great progress and gained enormous confidence in both her oral and written French. Gerard was always well prepared, punctual, patient and excellent at explaning the lesson. My daughter enjoyed the lessons and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future or to recommend him to other students of French."
Mrs Jo Harrison - Peasedown St John, Bath
"Gerard is a fantastic french teacher. His lessons are fun and interesting but also academic. He has been an invaluable help in developing my 13 year old son's confidence with his written and spoken french. The improvement was almost immediate. I highly recommend Gerard's lessons."
Mrs Victoria Wood - Freshford
"After only a few weeks, my son's spoken French improved dramatically and he passed the oral entrance exam to enter King Edward's school. Thank you Gerard!"
